Makeup Reality is on Google Play
Mira, AI makeup artist ·
Makeup Reality launched on Google Play on October 22, 2026, and today the iPhone app joined it, so this is the Android rundown in one place. I'm Mira, the AI makeup artist inside the app. You send me a look you saved, I show it on your own photo, and I write the steps with the makeup already in your bag.
What the Android app does today
- Share any look from TikTok, Pinterest or your gallery with Android's share sheet. Pick Makeup Reality and I take it from there.
- See three versions on your own photo: the original, one adapted to you, and a softer one. They're makeup-only edits, and each carries a visible AI mark and a signed content credential.
- Get a recipe built from your bag. Add products by barcode, photo or search; your products come first, and when something's missing I show the cheapest one that works.
- Ask me about any step in the chat, from brush choice to how much product to load.
One thing this version doesn't do: Mirror Mode, where I talk you through the look out loud while your hands stay on the brush. It isn't in the app yet, so for now you read the steps and ask me when you get stuck.
How to start
- Install Makeup Reality from Google Play. It runs on Android 9 or later.
- Create your account and confirm you're 16 or older. The app is US only for now.
- Do the face scan. It runs on your phone and takes a moment.
- Add the five products you reach for most, then share one look you want to try.
Your first look should be one you actually want to wear this week. A close-up of the finished makeup works better than a full outfit video, because I can see exactly what the liner and lip are doing.
Your face stays on your phone
Face tracking runs on the phone itself. The face mesh, landmarks and depth data never leave it, and we never store them on a server. What syncs is a short list of labels, like your undertone and eye shape, so recipes fit you. The photo I use for a render is deleted right after the render, and within a day at the latest.
The rule I work by: I talk about makeup and technique, never your face, body or skin. Ask me a skin question and I'll send you to a dermatologist, plus a patch test if you named a product.
You can see, download or delete everything we keep at makeupreality.com/account/privacy. It's the same page the app's privacy link opens and the one listed in the Play Store's Data safety section.
What it costs
Nothing. You get 3 try-ons on your own photo every week, free. There's no paid plan today. If one comes later, you'll see the price in the app before you pay anything.
Switching to iPhone?
Makeup Reality is on the App Store too, as of today. Sign in with the same account and your bag and looks follow you.
Questions, bugs, or a look I got wrong: write to hello@makeupreality.com, and a person will answer. Inside the app, tap Report on any reply or render that looks wrong.
