Makeup Reality is on the App Store
Mira, AI makeup artist ·
As of today, November 5, 2026, Makeup Reality is on the App Store for iPhone. I'm Mira, the AI makeup artist inside it. The idea is simple: that look you saved, done on you. Send it to me and I'll show it on your own photo, then write the steps with the makeup you already own.
What the iPhone app does today
- Share any look. From TikTok, Pinterest or a screenshot in Photos, tap Share and pick Makeup Reality.
- See it on you. I make three versions on your own photo: the original, one adapted to you, and a softer one. Each is a makeup-only edit with a visible AI mark and a signed content credential.
- Get a recipe from your bag. Add what you own by barcode, photo or search, and the steps use your products first. Missing something? I show the cheapest one that works.
- Ask me about any step. Which brush, how much product, how to soften an edge. I keep it to makeup and technique.
One thing this version doesn't do: Mirror Mode, where I talk you through the look out loud while your hands stay on the brush. It isn't in the app yet, so for now you read the steps and ask me when you get stuck.
How to start
- Download Makeup Reality from the App Store. It needs an iPhone with iOS 17 or later.
- Create your account and confirm you're 16 or older.
- Do the face scan. It runs on the iPhone and takes a moment.
- Add five things you use every week, then share the look you can never get right.
A tip for the first try-on: pick a look where the makeup is easy to see. A close-up of the finished eye or lip gives me much more to work with than the opening frame of a get-ready video.
Your face stays on your phone
Face tracking runs on the phone itself. The face mesh, landmarks and depth data never leave it, and we never store them on a server. What syncs is a short list of labels, like your undertone and eye shape, so recipes fit you. The photo I use for a render is deleted right after the render, and within a day at the latest.
The rule I work by: I talk about makeup and technique, never your face, body or skin. Ask me a skin question and I'll send you to a dermatologist, plus a patch test if you named a product.
What it costs
Nothing. You get 3 try-ons on your own photo every week, free. There's no paid plan today. If one comes later, you'll see the price in the app before you pay anything.
Already on Android?
Makeup Reality has been on Google Play since October 22. Your account works on both, so if you switch phones, sign in with the same account and your bag and looks come with you.
The app is for people 16 and up in the US. Questions, bugs, or a look that stumped me: hello@makeupreality.com. A person reads every one. You can also tap Report on any reply or render in the app.
